Our journey & how it started
We initially started to take photos and videos during our travels just with a regular smartphone and a GoPro camera. However, in order to create the right digital experience and quality, we invested over the time in professional gear as better as we become over the years in terms of “how to handle” it. We initially just produced content with our own company for our customers and didn’t shared our stuff online. During our around the world trip 2019 we then decided to start sharing some pictures and videos created also on Instagram.
Our general advice to every content producer out there is: «It’s not about the amount of money you spend – it’s about how creative and skilled your are» when it i.e. goes down to Post-Production (color grading and video editing). Nowadays it’s possible to shoot sophisticated contents just with a few small items that fits into your pocket. We are also still on our journey and learn everyday to become better.
Hard- and Software
This section of our website is currently under construction, as we lately changed our hardware completely. As far as we can tell: We’re shooting with the Canon R5 and multiple lenses, DJI Mavic 3 Classic and DJI Mini Pro 3, DJI Avata (FPV) and DJI RS3 Gimbal.
Core PC
We usually edit at home with our custom build PC.

Notebook
We do believe in Apple and that’s why we usually travel with our MacBook Pro Late 2019 edition with an additional GPU (Radeon Pro Vega 20 4GB). This allows us to edit 4k videos with moderate performance while travelling.

ATOM Editor

Whenever we’re asked to develop custom software/web applications for our clients, we go with Atom editor. It offers amazing features for free such as syntax highlighting for all major coding languages such as PHP, JAVA, Python, … as well as amazing functionalities to work directly with GitHub (see below).

GIT (Github)

I initially started my professional career as a software developer and only came across photography and videography later during my life. So if there are some geeks visiting our website, GitHub is the place to go! I basically don’t host that many public repos, majority of them are flagged as private due to the fact that these are custom projects for our customers. Above you can see a screenshot from a tiny Java-Scrip application I wrote about 8 years ago 🙂
MAMP (Local Webserver & MySQL Database)

Majority of our projects (web applications) we develop on LAMP-Stacks (Linux, Appache Server, MySQL, PHP). In some rare cases for i.e. native applications on iOS or Android we switch to JAVA with Eclipse Studio etc. However, as mentioned above – usually we develop on a LAMP-Stack and for this purpose we use local instances of a webserver or MySQL-Database. This is pretty handy if you are traveling with no real internet connection. It allows us also to work i.e. during a flight.
